Next step: a clear implementation scope
The calculator above helps estimate subscription. The sections below focus on what usually drives outcomes: implementation (workflows, data, integrations, training, and go-live stabilization).
What the subscription covers
The prices above are the Odoo software subscription, billed per user. The plan you choose affects hosting and capabilities (Odoo Online vs Odoo.sh / On-premise) and what’s possible for advanced needs like multi-company, Studio, or external API access.
- All Odoo apps under one fee
- Per-user billing that scales with your team
- Works for single-company or multi-company setups (Custom)
Subscription is the platform. Value comes from configuration, clean data, and workflow adoption. That’s why implementation is scoped separately.
Implementation is a separate scope
Most teams also need implementation services: discovery workshops, configuration, data migration, integrations, training, and go-live stabilization. We scope this based on your processes, modules, integrations, and timeline.
- Discovery: workflows, approvals, roles, and reporting requirements
- Delivery: configuration, imports/migration, automations, integrations
- Adoption: training, cutover plan, support, stabilization
The detailed estimation formula and internal thresholds are not published on this page. Still, you can see how scope is formed and what typically drives effort, so the quote feels transparent.
- Selected modules + workflow depth (exceptions, approvals, controls)
- Departments involved + handoffs between teams
- Data sources, quality, and cleansing effort
- Integrations (e-commerce, payments, logistics, POS, BI, legacy systems)
- Governance requirements (roles, audit trail, multi-company/multi-warehouse)
- Go-live timeline and whether a phased rollout is required
- A scoped effort & timeline estimate
- A phased rollout plan (quick wins → hard parts)
- Assumptions, dependencies, and key risks (data/integrations/adoption)
How to choose Standard vs Custom
Choose based on hosting needs, customization depth, and governance. If you’re unsure, we can recommend the plan after a short discovery call.
Standard is a good fit when
- You want a fast setup on Odoo Online
- Your process fits standard Odoo workflows
- You have simpler integration requirements
Custom is a good fit when
- You need Odoo.sh or On-premise hosting
- You require multi-company setup or more advanced access
- You plan deeper integrations with external systems

Common add-ons
Add-ons are used when your environment needs deeper integration, governance, or data cleanup. We’ll recommend only what supports stable operations.
- E-commerce / marketplace integration
- Logistics / shipping integration
- Payment gateway / bank integration
- BI / data warehouse connector
- Advanced security roles and audit controls
What we need to scope accurately
A good estimate comes from clarity. If you can share these, we can propose a phased roadmap and costs faster.
- Target modules (Sales, Inventory, Accounting, MRP, Projects, etc.)
- Current tools and integrations (marketplaces, logistics, accounting, spreadsheets)
- Data sources and rough volume (customers, products, transactions)
- Reporting requirements (KPIs, approvals, audit needs)
Pricing FAQ
Is this the full cost of ERP?
The subscription is the recurring software cost. Total project cost usually includes a one-time implementation scope (workshops, configuration, migration, integrations, training, and go-live stabilization).
How many users do we need?
We map users to roles (sales, finance, warehouse, operations) and design permissions. This helps estimate licensing correctly and avoid over-provisioning.
Can we start with a smaller scope?
Yes. Many teams start with core finance + sales + inventory, then expand to manufacturing, projects, HR, or advanced reporting after the first workflow is stable.
What makes implementation cost go up?
Common drivers are data cleanup and reconciliation, number of integrations, custom workflows/approvals, multi-company governance, and the number of sites/branches.
Do you offer phased delivery?
Yes. We prefer phased delivery: ship a stable core workflow first, then expand modules and integrations with clear ownership and reporting.
Can you help estimate effort before we buy?
Yes. Share your process flows, current tools, data sources, and reporting needs. We’ll propose a phased roadmap, a plan recommendation, and an initial “starting from” estimate (final scope is locked after discovery). For 50+ users, pricing is typically quote-based.
Do I really have access to hundreds of apps and modules for a single price?
Yes — you are not dreaming.
What's included in the subscription?
All plans include access to hundreds of Odoo apps on scalable cloud infrastructure, including hosting, incremental daily backups on two continents, email integration, top-notch security, 24/7 monitoring, and a control center to manage your Odoo environment.
The service includes unlimited support by email (Monday to Friday, 24/5) in English, French, Spanish, or Dutch. Access to the eLearning platform is free. Upgrades are also included in all plans at no extra fee.
See detailed Terms & Conditions: https://www.odoo.com/terms
- Hosting on Odoo.sh for custom developments (hosting on Odoo Online is free, with unmetered storage up to 100GB¹)
- Implementation services and access to Odoo expert services
- In-App-Purchase credits: SMS, contacts auto-complete, lead generation, AI to scan vendor bills & expenses
- Maintenance of custom code
What is On-premise / Odoo.sh?
The Standard plan is typically hosted on Odoo Online (cloud) for databases without custom modules. With the Custom plan, you can host on Odoo Online at no extra cost, or choose one of these options:
- Download Odoo Enterprise and host it yourself
- Host on Odoo.sh, the continuous integration platform to host development, staging, and production branches, allowing you to develop or use custom modules
Why do I see multiple apps when selecting One App Demo?
When you pilot a single app/workflow in a demo/POC, supporting apps may be installed as dependencies (e.g., eCommerce requires Website + Invoicing). This is normal so the core workflow works correctly.
How do we move from One App Demo to Standard or Custom?
After the demo/POC, we’ll help you select the right plan. Typically: add the apps/features you need for Standard; if you require Studio, multi-company, or advanced capabilities, move to Custom.
What is the difference between the Standard plan and the Custom plan?
The Custom plan is for companies that want to manage multiple companies on a single database and need to customize Odoo through Odoo Studio, custom developments, or through the API.
How do you define a paying user?
A paying user is usually an employee who has access to the Odoo backend to create, view, or edit documents. External users (such as clients or suppliers) using Odoo through the portal are not paying users.
- An employee who reports their expenses or timesheet
- A third-party accountant who uses Odoo to work on your finances
- Customers and suppliers who access their invoices on the portal
- Visitors of your website who place eCommerce orders and track deliveries
Can I switch from a hosted plan (Odoo Online) to Odoo Enterprise or the other way around?
When using Odoo Online, you can download a backup of your database at any time through the control center. You own your data.
Odoo Online and Odoo Enterprise (On-premise or Odoo.sh) is the same software. Only the hosting and infrastructure are different: emails, backups, database redundancies, etc.
Our cloud infrastructure runs on the latest version of Odoo with regular upgrades. On-premise users must use the latest stable version of Odoo. If you’d like to switch from Odoo Online to Odoo On-premise, the best time to make this change is immediately following the release of the newest stable version.
What does External API mean?
External API means you set up external software (such as legacy systems, reporting engines, etc.) that initiates calls to the Odoo API (JSON-RPC or XML-RPC) to query, retrieve, or update data stored in Odoo. If the call is initiated from Odoo, this is NOT considered an “External API” (e.g., payment providers like Stripe/PayPal, delivery carriers, VoIP providers, bank synchronization) and is part of the Standard plan.
